All school groups, whether led by a Garden volunteer or self-guided by a teacher, must complete the School Program Request Form.

Garden Classes

* Select your preferred time. Classes are 2 hours in length and can start on the half hour between 9 a.m. and noon. All classes conclude by 2 p.m.

* Select your preferred time. Tours are available between the hours of 10 a.m and 1 p.m., and can be scheduled to begin on the hour or half hour.

Shaw’s Satchels

Enhance your Self-guided visit by reserving a Shaw’s Satchel at the time of your reservation. A Shaw’s Satchel includes age-appropriate activities which lead students to explore and discover the many plants that are grown in a botanical garden. Satchels are:

  • Issued to each group upon arrival and collected at departure.
  • One Shaw’s Satchel is issued for every ten students and their accompanying chaperones.
  • Group size maximum is 100 students.
  • FREE, BUT RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED.

Brownies "Try It"

These backpacks contain all the materials, maps and directions needed to complete a “Try It” activity during a 90-minute, self-guided Garden tour.

Fees and reservations:
A $10 rental fee is charged per troop, in addition to regular Garden admission. A valid driver’s license is required as a deposit at check out time.

DinoQuest (May 1 - October 3, 2010)

Check the box below to add the DinoQuest exhibit to your self-guided visit. All school groups must pre-register their DinoQuest visit to receive special admission rate of $3.00 per child for children ages 3 to 12 years, $5 per adult. (Note: September 1 - October 3, pre-registered school groups receive FREE admission to DinoQuest included with regular Garden admission.)

Children's Garden Visit
