Please note that admittance to the Climatron®, Temperate House, and Brookings Center during the exhibit (May 1 through October 3, 2010) requires DinoQuest admission (an additional fee of $3 per student and $5 per adult for pre-registered self-guided school groups). School groups must pre-register their DinoQuest visit. This additional fee does not apply if part of Garden-led classes or tours.

Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden (Open April–October)
Whether your group is scheduled for an educational program, guided tour or just planning to tour the Garden on your own—school groups are welcome to come explore the Children’s Garden. All school groups must pre-register their Children’s Garden visit. By pre-registering, you receive discounted admission rates and provide us with the necessary information to better serve your group on the day of your visit.

Children's Groups…

Are you trying to plan a unique and engaging field trip for your scout group, church group, latch-key group, day care, or camp? A custom-made experience can be created to align with your nature and plant-related curriculum or expectations. Available Monday—Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., September through May. Call Heather at (314) 577-5140 to find out more!

Minimum group size is 5; maximum group size is 20.

Chaperones are free and required for each group: 1 adult per 5 children.

Cost*:

Children (ages 5 to 18) $6 each

Required chaperones free

Extra chaperones $4 per extra chaperone

*Fee includes a 90 minute instructional experience plus a take-home planting activity. Children’s Garden and DinoQuest exhibit admission require additional fees.
